FAQs about edge
WHAT DOES EDGE OFfER?
Between our two locations in Fort Worth and Granbury, we offer select teams for ages 6U and up. We also provide private lessons for pitching, hitting, fielding and catching.
Our group of professional coaches also put on camps, and clinics during the summer.
How much does it cost to play for edge?
Cost depends greatly on multiple variables and is independently calculated based on the expenses of each team. Age group, tournament selection, and number of players are a few examples of factors that can greatly effect the overall cost for a season.
How far do you travel for tournaments?
Most tournaments we participate in are played in the greater DFW area. But, each team and season provides a different set of circumstances when it comes to scheduling tournaments. We try to book the best ones for our teams skill level and keep convenience for parents in consideration as much as we can.
Do you offer payment plans? Fundraising? Scholarships?
Yes! We never want money to be the reason you don't give your son / daughter a shot at doing something they love and excel at. And we definitely don't want money to be the reason you don't give Texas Edge a shot at helping them fulfill their potential. We are flexible and willing to help facilitate fundraising, payment plans and scholarships. Just contact us and tell us a little more about your situation. We are happy to help!
Do you have to play for Edge to take lessons?
Absolutely not. We are equally thrilled to work with any and every ball player despite their age, skill level or what organization they currently play for.
How much do you practice?
Practices are scheduled and run individually by one of our professional coaches. That being said, we recommend to all of our coaches to practice 2 times a week for a total of 3 hours during seasons.
What’s the youngest age for lessons?
We always recommend waiting until your son / daughter is at least 6 before starting lessons, but even that can be too young for some.
To get the most out of our teaching, they will need to be able to focus for the entire 30 minute lesson. We know that it is a lot to ask for younger kids to understand new terminology, make adjustments and retain information at such a young age.
Our 6U developmental league is a great place for you to start with younger kids to see how they respond to coaching and the game of baseball in general.
